Overview
I am an interdisciplinary scientist whose current research focuses on translational genomics and cancer care delivery, especially as it impacts marginalized* populations. I have extensive experience in genomic evidence synthesis, data modeling, web application development, community-driven research design, and genomic applications in care delivery. My PhD in biochemistry, with a focus on molecular biophysics, gives me a unique foundation to understand the molecular mechanisms at play in translational studies. I have cross-disciplinary training that covers epidemiology, qualitative research, bioethics, and informatics.

In addition to the resources linked here, view my 2023 presentation titled "Understanding Workplace and Workforce Barriers to Full Participation of People with Disabilities: Reimagining Access" given as part of the the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine's (NASEM) Disrupting Ableism Workshop series. The presentation is also available directly on vimeo. Further, read my paper commissioned for the workshop, titled Reimagining Access: Critical Examination of Barriers to Full STEM Workforce Participation for Disabled Individuals. I also participated in a 2024 NASEM Disrupting Ableism: Year in Reflections and Actions Seminar as an invited speaker. You can also view that presentation directly on vimeo.
In addition to the resources linked here, view my presentation titled "Pacing for Partnership" given as part of the the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine's workshop "Sustaining Community Engagement in Genomics Research." The presentation covers aspects of transgender community inclusion and is also available directly on vimeo. Further, read my open access senior author paper titled "Conducting inclusive research in genetics for transgender, gender-diverse, and sex-diverse individuals: Case analyses and recommendations from a clinical genomics study" in the Journal of Genetic Counseling. This study evaluates cases of transgender research participants to explore recommendations for building more inclusive research studies, both broadly and in the field of genetics care provision and research.
